IT Systems Analyst – 4P4

Reporting to the Manager of Oracle Financials System Support group within Administrative Systems(AS), this position requires a good combination of functional and technical knowledge of the Oracle Financials 12 E-business suite. A successful candidate will have demonstrated a track record of capturing and modeling business requirements and priorities to assure the delivery of quality solutions providing with the highest value to the University and solid technical expertise of several of the Oracle based Technology used in Oracle E-Business Suite.
The Oracle Financials Support team is responsible for the support, maintenance, operations and upgrades of the Oracle E-business application, such Enterprise Asset Management, Inventory and Property Management, and modules developed internally at Stanford. The team is also responsible in maintaining software used in the Oracle Financials apps such as the Planning tool for Work Orders developed using Adobe Flex. The team also supports custom applications integration with other Oracle Financials Systems and Enterprise Datawarehousing.
Responsibilities:
* Understands business processes and translate into system solutions
* Assist with feasibility of enhancement requests, identifying options and recommending a solution
* Work with business partners to resolve issues and assists them in rollout
* Assist the Project Manager in developing project scope, resources and schedule
* Provide cost estimates for change requests and negotiates IT impacts with the business and AS technical teams
* Create business requirements including business rules, quality attributes, performance goals, external interfaces and constraints
* Collaborate with the QA team to create and execute system test plans and user-acceptance testing
* Work within the development team to develop technical specifications
* Perform production support activities including, and not limited to, evaluating Patches/Fixes, maintaining system configurations, running batch cycles, data cleanup, testing, filing/resolving TARS, and estimating enhancements for additional funding
* Identify alternatives for gaps and issues that minimize system modification and maintenance while meeting requirements.
* Conducts in-depth analysis to solve problems, make recommendations and/or to discover new approaches or applications
* Design and document modules and components and how they will interface with each other
* Develop functional specifications to ensure compliance with System Development Lifecycle methods
*Ability to develop and modify code based on Technical Specifications

* Must understand relational database concepts
* Must understand Oracle table schemas in conjunction with strong application knowledge and know how to use SQL to pull data as needed
* Strong understanding of the components of web applications
* Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a minimum of direction
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff and management
* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure in high stress situations
* Demonstrated understanding of integration between applications in Oracle Ebusiness suite

Relevant Work Experience

* 8 to 10 years of experience as a systems analyst or developer in consulting, higher education or related industry or similar years of business domain expertise
* Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL is a must
* Experience with Oracle Enterprise Asset Management , Oracle Inventory, Oracle Accounts Receivable on Release 12 is a must
* Experience in Oracle Workflow, Forms and XML Publisher is a must
* Experience with JDeveloper with either Oracle Framework or APEX is a plus
* Experience in Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Grants is a plus

Education

* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
