be defined in the future. We are seeking someone who can make an immediate
impact with key prospects who could support these and other
initiatives.

the regions and to help develop and lead the fundraising strategy. In addition
he/she will be responsible for a wide range of fundraising activities including,
but not limited to the following: provide stewardship and involvement for
Stanford’s generous supporters and high-level volunteers in the region; identify
new prospective donors and volunteers; maintain an active schedule of contacts,
activities, and solicitations with individuals with ratings of $250K to $5M;
coordinate volunteer fundraising efforts in the region; provide staff support
for the Business School’s leaders, faculty, and high level volunteers when they
travel to the region; maintain an active, current body of knowledge relative to
the region and Stanford activity within the region; facilitate relationships
between potential and current donors and volunteers with the Business School’s
administration, faculty, deans, staff and trustees; coordinate the nature and
number of other fundraising contacts that assigned prospects receive by
consulting with development colleagues in the Stanford Office of Development
Office and with other schools and units.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate
will have significant professional Development experience and/or firsthand
experience with the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as a graduate or
employee. Demonstrated successful experience and effectiveness in prospect
identification, relationship building, and solicitation; firsthand experience
mentoring and working with volunteers, faculty and staff in fundraising with
individuals; experience soliciting large gifts; ability and willingness to
travel regularly; ability to manage a large number of fundraising activities
simultaneously; ability to manage complex issues creatively and effectively;
ability to make independent decisions; ability to participate in the ongoing
development of the Major Gifts program; evidence of being highly adaptable to
working with changing priorities; knowledge and appreciation for and ability to
broadly represent the mission of a major research university; ability to write
